How to Remove the Digital Date on Kodak Photos

How to Remove the Digital Date on Kodak Photos

A date stamp on a camera can be good to have if you want to remember when a photo was taken. Sometimes a date can be an annoyance and ruin the overall look of a photo. If you wish to remove the date from a photo that has already been taken with a date on it, this can be done with photo-editing software and the use of a clone or rubber stamp tool.

Instructions

    1

Open the photo from which you want to remove the date in your editing software.

    2

Zoom in on the area where the date stamp is located.

    3

Click the clone or rubber stamp tool.

    4

Select the source point for the area you want to duplicate. For example, if the date is covering a section of grass, choose a spot in the grass that is not covered by the date as your source point.

    5

Use the clone/stamp tool over the date until it is completely covered. If the date covers multiple areas (e.g., the grass and a person's leg), select new source points as needed. Try to select your source point as close to the date as possible without actually clicking the date.

    6

Save the altered photo as a new file so that you still have the original if needed.
