Protecting Your Camera

Cut the sleeve or pant leg from the raincoat or rain pants. Pant legs work best for larger cameras and larger lenses.
2Slide the sleeve or leg over the camera. Bring the lens flush with the opening.
3Wrap the rubber band around the lens to create a seal.
4Roll the other end of the sleeve or pant leg back far enough to allow you to use the shutter button, viewfinder and other controls.
5Pack your camera bag. Include your raincoat sleeve, various sizes of plastic bags (to use in a pinch if you do not have your raincoat sleeve), as well as a clean, dry towel to blot your camera dry in case of an emergency.
