2Create a free account with the stock photo agency you are interested in selling photos to. Examples include ShutterPoint and iStockPhoto.
3Upload the photos you are interested in selling. Typically new accounts can only submit one to three photos initially. If those images pass the requirements, you will be allowed to upload more photos. For the best results, look around the website of the stock photo company to see if they have a list of images they are in need of, such as the iStockPhoto Needed Files page (see Resources).
4Title your images and insert keywords. It is important that these are accurate because this is how people find your images on the stock photo website. You do not get to set a price; the stock photo agency sets the price for all of your photos.
5Wait for someone to purchase your photos from the stock photo companies. Typically there is a minimum amount that you have to have in your account before you can cash out and get paid. As of January 2010, the limit is $100 with iStockPhoto and $50 with ShutterPoint.
