How to Upload Photos in Flash

While some think of Flash as an animation program, it can also work with still images. Uploading photographs and graphics in Flash is a straightforward process. PNGs, JPGs, GIFs and PSDs can all be uploaded into Flash and used in your website or animation. There are two ways to use the images you upload: you can either place them directly into the frame, or you can keep them in your image library and drag them into your document.

Instructions

    1

Open Adobe Flash. From here either open an existing Flash document by selecting "File" then "Open," or create a new document by selecting "File" and then "New."

    2

Select the image you wish to import your photo into. Click "File" on the menu bar, then choose "Import" and select "Import to Stage."

    3

Select the image you wish to upload in the "Import" window. Click the "Open" or "Import" button.

    4

Find the imported image on your stage. Position the image on the canvas.

    5

Click the "Window" link in the menu bar and select "Library." From here you can choose another frame and drag your image from the library into your Flash document.
