Stage for contrast. Items and people stand out through contrast. Using makeup, costumes and stage/set design that contrasts with the person that should stand out. For example, bright colored outfits and colorful makeup against a black backdrop stands out. The poses and expressions of the model will also dramatically increase or decrease the intensity and feel of the photo.
2Use lots of light. Direct lighting is best for making images pop. It gives that bright red carpet effect. Use powerful lights or a bright professional flash to achieve this. The light will bring out the detail of the photo. If shooting outdoors, use a reflector.
3Increase the exposure. If lights are not an option then increase the exposure for the camera. The higher the exposure, the more light hits the image sensor, making the picture brighter.
4Adjust the depth of field, ISO. Depth of field changes the focus of the photo. For example, adjust the ISO to the subject. This will blur out everything that is not the subject.
5Edit the images using a photo editing program. There are many ways to make the image more vivid. Many programs have filters that automatically adjust the look of the photo. Adjusting the color balance, brightness and contrast, levels, shadows and highlights will all tweak the picture.
