Despite sharing most of the features of the Pro9000, the Pro9000 Mark II has a slightly different body. The Pro9000 Makr II is 13.9 x 26 x 7.6 inches while the Pro 9000 is 30 x 18 x 12 inches. The Pro9000 Mark II is also two pounds heavier than the Pro9000 at 32.4 pounds.
Speed
A noticeable difference between the Canon Pixma Pro9000 and the Pro9000 MarkII is the printing speed. The Mark II is almost double its speed, being able to print a full 13-by-19 image in less time that it took the Pro9000 to print an 11-by-14 image. The Pro9000 Mark II only takes 1:23 minutes to print a 14-by-17 bordered image in color.
Ambient Light Correction
The Ambient light correction is a new feature in the Pro9000 Mark II that will modify the print based on the type of light under which the print will be display. After selecting the type of light, the software will automatically adjust the colors to make the print look its best under the that particular light.
16-bits
Channel printing at 16-bits is a new feature of the Pro9000 MarkII. That function allows you to send an image in 16-bits instead of the 8-bits of the Pro9000. The 16-bits image will maintain more of the color and luminosity detail in the image and can improve the resulting print in subtle images.
